nogmaals dank voor jouw gulle gift. Ik zou jullie op de hoogte houden van de besteding daarvan. Het doel is om een student of wetenschapper uit Gaza een jaar te laten studeren in Leiden.

Op dit moment is echter onbekend of er al studenten of wetenschappers uit Gaza zijn weggekomen, en als dat wel zo is, is nog onbekend wie dat zijn en waar zij zijn. We hebben nauw contact met een organisatie die dat monitort, en daarmee is afgesproken dat we de komende maanden gebruiken om meer inzicht te krijgen in deze situatie, met het doel om een student of wetenschapper te selecteren die per februari 2025 zou kunnen beginnen. Ik houd jullie op de hoogte!

once again thank you for your generous donation. I promised to keep you informed about how the funds are being used. The goal is to enable a student or researcher from Gaza to study in Leiden for a year.

However, at this moment, it is still unclear if any students or researchers have been able to leave Gaza, and if they have, we do not yet know who they are or where they are located. We are in close contact with an organisation that is monitoring this situation, and we have agreed to use the coming months to gain more insight into this, with the aim of selecting a student or researcher who could begin in February 2025.
